Easy Sellout

from the everything-has-its-price dept

Some folks who were threatened by the Easy Group (they run a bunch of businesses – mostly in Europe – that start with the name Easy, including the EasyEverything Cafe’s, of which there’s one in NY) for having a domain name that started with “easy” set up a site to fight back called EasyProtest.com. It offered advice for anyone who was being bullied by the Easy Group’s lawyers. So it’s a bit odd that suddenly the EasyProtest.com site points to the Easy Group’s rental car service. While no one would comment for a while, it sounds as though the EasyGroup finally tossed a bunch of money in the direction of the protestors, who suddenly lost their strong hateful feelings towards the Easy Group. I also noticed, by the way, that the Easy Group – despite all these fights for domains starting with easy – don’t seem to actually own EasyGroup.com.
