Writer Fired For Plagiarism

from the as-if-no-one-would-notice dept

I like to give the benefit of the doubt to most people, but I’m beginning to think some people just don’t think at all. A freelance writer in Canada has been caught plagiarizing a number of articles that appeared in major publications. As if no one would notice at some point? All of these articles were on the web, and sooner or later, someone was going to notice the similarities. Apparently, when confronted with the plagairism, the writer “kind of apologized”. How hard could it have been to actually go out and research and write an article on her own? And, if you, for some idiotic reason, absolutely must plagiarize, it probably makes sense not to pick articles in popular newspapers that are read by millions of people.
