Crunch Time At Time

from the the-AOL-occupying-army dept

A detailed look at the fear that’s running through employees at Time Inc. as AOL starts figuring out how they’re going to wring some extra money from the publishing company. The article goes into a detailed look at the two cultures. Time has a history of being more about journalistic integrity than making a buck – whereas AOL has always been about the bottom line. Of course, the article also brings up numerous examples of times over the past fifty years where Time staffers feared the end of “Time culture”, and every time the fears have been overblown.
