Denmark To Legalize Downloading Music

from the steps-in-the-right-direction dept

In a move that is pissing off the recording industry, Denmark is preparing a law that will legalize downloading music and making digital copies for personal use. They won’t legalize music sharing. Thus, it will be illegal to share a song, but not illegal to actually go and get that song. It will be interesting to see if this law can actually get passed, and if it will mean (as the record industry seems to want to indicate) the death of all creative music in Denmark.
