B2B Gets Boring: The Revolution That Never Was

from the the-hype-is-over dept

Well, it’s about time. The B2B hype has officially died. Two different news sources have the story today. While it’s definitely been sick and lingering for the past six months or so, with stories about why B2B went bust and what happens after the B2B revolution, I think we can safely say that B2B hype-without-substance is (thankfully) over. This isn’t to say that business-to-business transactions using the web are dead, but the days of the B2B dot com as an internet rock star are long gone. Now it’s just a typical enterprise software project that needs to be thought out carefully to figure out a way to make a real return on investment. What a concept.
