Gary writes “One day we may all be able to get a tan on the moon, but right now space tourism is still just a dream for all of us except Mr. Tito. Article mentions Tito’s trip (launched into space aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket that is scheduled for takeoff on Saturday, April 28, 2001) will be the beginning of what could become a lucrative 21st-century industry. The X Prize is a national contest offering $10-million to the first private company that can develop a reusable launch vehicle (RLV) capable of carrying the general public into space. There are currently 19 teams from around the world vying to capture the X Prize jackpot.”
