Cable & Wireless Going Bargain Hunting In The US

from the now-what-can-we-buy? dept

Cable and Wireless is apparently shopping for internet bargains in the US. Among the rumors floating around are that they’re looking to buy Exodus, PSINet, or Genuity in their effort to make a splash on this side of the world. It seems that if you have the cash, and will be able to manage it well, now seems to be an excellent time to be buying up infrastructure. It’s costing pennies on the dollar from its original cost. The big question is whether or not it can be managed profitably post-purchase (and if there are any serious integration costs). It’s certainly cheaper than starting from scratch.
