More Internet Enabled Pizza
from the pizza?--yes.--pizza dept
It keeps showing up again and again. No matter how many times we make fun of the idea the idea of using the internet for pizza delivery keeps popping back up. The latest is a new experiment from Motorola, Domino’s, and Verizon to let Verizon customers easily order pizzas from their mobile phone. Okay, maybe I’m missing something. It’s definitely nice that you can order a pizza easily using your mobile phone, but “killer app” and “next big thing”? Someone forgot to put away their “hype ’em up” reporters style guide.

I tend to agree with the article in saying that most, at least in North America, will find it more convenient to simply use their phone to call the pizza place to order. I laughed when I first read the post, thinking, “Can’t you already order pizza using your cell phone?” I know being able to order pizza over the phone (snicker) will certainly cause me to go out and get myself a new web-enable phone.
