Some Day In The Life Story…

from the hired-to-fired-in-less-than-24-hours dept

Talk about a compressed job cycle. I have a friend who about a month ago moved to the Bay Area to take a job at a startup. Three days later he gets laid off as the company is being shut down by its parent company. I thought that was a record. Here, however, is the story of a guy who started a new job at a dot com early on a Monday morning and was laid off that afternoon as the company announced it couldn’t secure financing and was shutting down. It’s too bad the guy didn’t get any severance pay.
