The joke at the height of the dot com mania was that Amazon.com should be renamed Amazon.org since it was just a big non-profit organization. Apparently, now that dot coms are collapsing left and right, some dot coms are taking that advice to heart. They’re changing into dot orgs and becoming non-profits.
