Buying A Trashcan Online

from the garbage-in-garbage-out dept

I guess someone at the NY Times was having a tough time figuring out what to write their online shopping column about because it focuses on the process of finding and buying a replica of her old kitchen garbage can. It’s actually an interesting story. She first tried the company she had bought the original from, but they no longer sold them. Then she did a Google search and found the manufacturer – who wouldn’t sell directly to consumers. Finally, she found an online wholesaler to restaurant suppliers that shipped it to her (even though she kept expecting them to turn her down).
