The Age Of Common Sense

from the yeah,-right dept

Richard L. Brandt is hoping that we’re moving beyond the beyond the age of irrational exuberance (or as he says: “uncommon nonsense”) and into one of common sense. It’s a good article, but I don’t think this nonsense is that uncommon. The madness of crowds has always been around, and people like the idea of being able to get rich quick. Even if people are a little more realistic on their outlook or chances for success – people are still going to jump on the latest fad.
