News.com Redesign

from the funky-ad-units dept

I don’t usually report on things such as redesigns, but News.com still tends to be the first site when it comes to tech news. So, the fact that they’ve done a massive redesign is news. I’ll admit that I’m a creature of habit, and I dislike most redesigns. I’m used to the way things were, and redesigns tend to disrupt things. At first glance, however, I like the new News.com. I am, however, a little confused and worried by the new “ad units” they keep discussing. That seems to have been the main cause of the redesign (or at least they keep mentioning it). I can’t figure out if there’s any real reason for it, other than to stop ad blockers.
