CheckOut.com Checking Out

from the bye-bye dept

I’ve made fun of Checkout.com before (ever since they launched a year and a half ago). Now, however, they’re apparently finally going to give up and sell out. However, what I find interesting in the article is the quote about them having just killed their affiliate program. There’s a quote from someone who says that’s a “sure sign” the company is about to go out of business. I wonder what that means for Google and the Wall Street Journal who both just ditched their affiliate programs. More importantly, I’ll repeat my question from before about what this means for affiliate program companies like BeFree?
