Yahoo Starts Charging For Auctions

from the big-whoop dept

It’s not a big surprise that Yahoo has started to charge for auctions. Considering their two main competitors already do so, it’s a reasonable move by Yahoo. Not surprisingly, some people complained loudly about it. While I think it’s fine to let the company know where you stand, I think most of these arguments are just silly. If you don’t want to pay the $1.50 or whatever it costs to list your trash for sale, then go to a different site. It does no good to complain. It will be interesting, however, to see how many users Yahoo actually loses because of this. My guess would be not many.
