Cheap T1s For Everyone!
from the give-me-that-bandwidth dept
The price of T1 lines has been dropping rapidly. In some areas, apparently, you can even get a T1 line for $150/month (though with absolutely no guarantees that it will even work). The article suggests a number of reasons why this is happening. One of the interesting suggestions as to why the local phone companies haven’t been dropping their prices as well, is that they want to prove to the government that they’ve allowed competition into their markets – so they can enter the long distance market.

Cheap T1s? Who cares?
Sprint ION service, (which is the hot ticket among my co-geeks) provides up to 8Mbps down plus a couple phone lines for $119/month. Who wants to pay $150 for a 1.5Mbps T1?
Re: Cheap T1s? Who cares?
According to your article I was just wondering what about the people who dont know how to use the service. They should be given a hands-on-expoerence on hw to use it ( say like ina IT fest) anyway hoping you will give a reply
