The Worst Of The Year In Silicon Valley
from the the-murky-awards dept
Here’s a fun read. The SJ Merc is putting out their Murky Awards for the stupidest acts of the year 2000. There are some obvious ones like Y2K and Larry Ellison’s dumpster diving. However, some of the others are much more interesting. A well-known restaurant that’s been serving pork tenderloin as veal (customers had complained that the veal was too tough). I think my favorite, though, is a law firm that sent paper weights in the shape of grenades to Silicon Valley firms. The bomb squad was called out twice, and there were a number of complaints to the US Post Office.
