Myth Of The New Economy

from the economics-stay-the-same dept

John C. Dvorak talks about the myth of the new economy. I’ve posted similar articles before. However, I think this is all just a bunch of rhetoric. Of course economics hasn’t changed. Anyone who was claiming that was obviously being stupid. However, the internet is a huge change that almost all businesses need to deal with. That is what most (sane) people mean when they talk about the new economy. There are not many innovations that completely influence how companies do business, but the internet has. There is a “new economy”, but it doesn’t actually change the fundamental economics of how things work… just how business can get done.
