Priceline Should Buy Priceline

An interesting suggestion in Business Week that Priceline should do a management buyout and take the company private again. It also suggests (not surprisingly) that they should focus exclusively on the travel market and get out of all those other unprofitable markets it’s been entering. I’m just wondering, though, if Priceline does buy themselves out, will they be able to use a reverse auction to set the price?
