The Shot Heard Across The Internet

from the new-uses-for-technology dept

A man is being charged with the murder of his ex-wife, after friends heard him shoot her via the internet. That is, they heard the shots over the internet… and not that the shots came over the internet. This, of course, brings up the stupid business model idea of the day: set up some software that will continuously record what’s going on in your house, and in the event of a crime, you’ll have an audio record of it. I guess, you could even go further and use your computer as a video camera system, but, of course, then you might feel like you’re living in a convenience store.
