Fraud Is The Next Wave Of Network Attacks

from the sneaky-stuff dept

A good article by Bruce Schneier saying that good old fashioned fraud is the next wave of network attacks. Now that people have been working on technologies to prevent typical direct computer attacks, fraud is the next method of hurting companies. While it makes some good points, I’m not sure I believe his breakdown of “waves of attacks”. People have always targeted other people with “fraud”. I don’t see it as anything new. Perhaps, it’s just becoming more sophisticated. Still, it’s definitely worth thinking about, as it looks at fraud from a different perspective than most people normally do.
