Cutting Long Lines at the Airport with PDAs
from the cool dept
Lines at the airport suck. There’s really not much more to say about that. That’s why I think it’s pretty cool that the San Jose Airport is testing out a new handheld device that will allow “roving agents” to check in passengers more quickly. It’s definitely a good idea. I’m still a little confused as to how it works, though. How do you find these “roving” agents? Don’t you still have to wait in line? Isn’t this really just a simple way to add more agents to the desk?
