AOL Says, Yeah But…

from the we-rule-this-space dept

The war between AOL and all the other companies offering instant messaging services seems to have changed slightly. Now AOL says that it’s willing to develop a common standard but it wants to wait until it can prevent the equivalent of spam on its service. The other players in this market have grouped together to compete against AOL but the chances that they’ll win in this market are slim since AOL’s got the customer base and it’s still outgrowing the rest. For this AOL gets 100 Machiavellian points and entry into the TD Corporate Bully Hall of Fame (the opposite of a F**ked Company of course!).
