According to the major 4 mobile telephone companies in the UK, more than 50% of the population currently own a mobile phone. It doesn’t seem like this trend is anywhere near stopping, these trends are also occurring across Europe, Asia and with a slight lag in the US. The mobile Internet will be big business in either the current WAP format or with the introduction of 3G phones (seemingly more likely).
