AllAdvantage in Trouble

from the not-a-good-sign dept

Here’s Fortune trying to get into the dot com demise predictions business. They pick AllAdvantage to be the next in line. I’ve made no secret of my dislike for AllAdvantage. I’ve explained to many people why the business model wouldn’t work, but they just kept growing and growing and growing. For a while I was beginning to think I was wrong, and maybe they would pull it off (though with no help from me – I want no part of floating ads on my screen). Now it seems the realization that it really was a pyramid scheme, and there’s a point where the money runs out. Unfortunately, unlike a regular pyramid scheme, the founders of the company didn’t get a chance to cash out.
