Iridium May Be Sold

from the it's-still-there? dept

Would you believe Iridium is still flying? And that someone wants to buy it? It seems it’s all true. Motorola has kept the satellite flying in the hopes that someone would take those satellites off its hands, and now someone has, though they’re only offering $50 million for the whole batch of satellites. If they can actually turn those satellites into something, that would be a huge bargain compared to the price it cost Iridium to build and launch all those satellites. Of course, that’s a huge “if”.
