Summer Movies Have Terrible Websites

from the silly-movie-industry dept

A very interesting article in the NY Times about the websites associated with big summer Hollywood movies. The summary: most of them suck. They don’t do much to entice you to see the movie. The author thought that with the success of Blair Witch last year, movie makers might think more about ways to use the web to build interest… but apparently that is not the case. Instead, it seems that filmmakers can only think of ways to move movies online rather than think how the online medium can help regular movies.
