FTC Finds that E-Commerce Sites Fail in Protecting Privacy

A survey of major online retailers by the FTC finds that only 20% live up to the FTC’s standards for protecting consumer privacy. That’s actually quite scary. I don’t understand why sites find the idea of protecting their customers’ privacy so difficult.
