Looking at Half.com

I’ll admit that I never really checked out Half.com before. Any company that convinced a town to rename itself Half.com struck me as being a little too insane to bother with. However, the NY Times has taken a look at Half.com and they seem to like what they see. I do think it’s a pretty good idea, that seems to have been built well. The question is how well they can get their brand out there. I guess that NY Times article doesn’t hurt.

I've used half.com
I liked the service, but they need to modify their shipping policy. Basically, you can order x number of different used products from y number of different vendors, and get one shipment from the company. The problem is that I ordered four used books, with a total amount of $15, and shipping came to almost $7. It sort of kills the motivation to buy used goods…
