Bell Atlantic to Offer 500 Numbers for ISPs

It looks like Bell Atlantic is doing something smart. They’re going to allocate special “500” numbers to ISPs. When called, the numbers will find the most local phone number from wherever the call originated and use that for the dialup. This way, when you’re travelling, you don’t need to find the local dialup number. Seems like a good idea. The only problem is that it’s only set to work in Bell Atlantic territories.
