Fired for Publishing a Story on the Web

from the but-not-just-any-story... dept

Apparently a worker who had been on the job (on and off) for nearly 17 years was fired because he wrote a story for a website about a worker (in a very similar job) who goes crazy and kills a lot of people at the job. Apparently, no one noticed until he told co-workers to check out the website in a company newsletter. Legally, I’m not sure he has much of a leg to stand on. It doesn’t look like the company broke any laws (though I don’t know the specific employment laws in New Hampshire). They’re just trying to protect the safety of their employees.
