Instead of continuing to battle out the war for audio streaming standards, it looks like Microsoft may have won. Real Networks has agreed to license Microsoft’s technology and include it with its own.

MS Streaming……..is nice. I like it, watching MSNBC now…..not bad 🙂
Quite the opposite...
This actually means that the next version of real player will have the capability to play ra,ram and asf… A noticable advantage. If they port it to linux soon, we can all enjoy the same formats. (BTW, Real’s format wins hands down in all the comparisons I’ve seen)

Wouldn’t we all LOVE to know how that agreement was arrived at? O for the mole in microsoft!
