Paper vs. Computer in Testing Situations

from the which-is-better dept

Here’s a story in the NYTimes about a study that looks to determine whether or not students should be using computers instead of pencil and paper and what the effects of one choice over another are. I’m very curious to see what they discover. As someone who got out of all school systems before any computerized test taking was implemented, I was relieved because despite my love of computers, I preferred pencil and paper testing. I think I’d be a little more comfortable taking exams on a computer now, but there is still something to being able to scribble in the margins.
