The Cross-Site Scripting Scam

from the makes-you-wonder dept

Last week there was a lot of talk about the cross-site scripting security hole, which I mostly ignored because it sounded like so much security hype that is not worth adding to. Now, John Dvorak is reporting that the hype behind the cross-site scripting hole might just be a scam from Microsoft. It’s an interesting read. I have no idea if it’s true or not, but I’m glad that someone is looking critically at some of these security hole announcements.
