Dealing Virtual Drugs

from the completely-addicted dept

The computer game Dopewars has been around forever, but recently has been making a comeback. I downloaded the version for my Palm Pilot about six months ago and I probably play it a few times every day when I feel like procrastinating. I also have the Windows version but don’t enjoy it as much. I’m glad someone just wrote an article about it so I could talk about it. It is very much like a stock market game where the idea is to buy low and sell high. Or, as I told a friend of mine when I first got it: “Wow, in just 30 days I turned $2,000 in cash and $5,500 in debt into $41 million”. He replied: “Sounds like you work for a startup.”
