E-Commerce Firms Need to Show Profits

from the end-of-an-era dept

The latest from Forrester (not that we believe anything they say) says that Wall Street is no longer accepting the idea that all these dot coms are losing money because they’re in investment mode. It’s time for them to start showing a profit. While I do think that there are too many e-commerce firms, and they don’t do a very good job distinguishing themselves, I don’t think suddenly deciding that they all need to show a profit is necessarily healthy either.
