Inside Amazon.com's Customer Service Organization

from the electronic-sweat-shops dept

A very interesting article in the Washington Post (claims to be the second of two articles, but I’m not sure where the first is) about Amazon.com’s customer service organization. While some of the discussion may just be disgruntled employees, it does paint quite a picture of the new “electronic sweat shops” that many folks in the new economy work in. I think a lot of it has to do with startups that have grown to fast and don’t really know how to manage employees well, but do know about growing a business.
