Sycamore Beats TheGlobe as Best Ever IPO

Sycamore Networks went public today and jumped a record breaking 613% on it’s first trade. It priced at $38 and went out at $270-7/8. In doing so, it beat out the famous TheGlobe.com IPO which merely jumped 606%. Of course, since then TheGlobe hasn’t done so hot, so it’ll be interesting to see what Sycamore does. However, it does seem that Sycamore is a bit more of a real company that TheGlobe.com.
