Gene therapy, the new plastic surgery!

A leap forward for gene therapy was announced this week in London by a Canadian biotech company. They have been able to insert artificial chromosomes into mouse cells. This could have vast implications for germline gene therapy, i.e. inherited genes that can be inserted into sperm and eggs. This seems to be a pretty controversial area so everyones handling this topic with care.
