Opening Up Conference Calls to Everyone

from the let's-all-get-that-insider-info dept

In an attempt to combat public companies releasing too much insider info during conference calls, the SEC is now suggesting that all conference calls be open to the public. Not a bad idea. To be honest, though, I really doubt most retail traders will care enough to listen in on most conference calls. Sure, they’ll listen to the stocks that they’re really obsessed with, but for the most part, they won’t have the patience to listen to the whole calls.
