Electronic Retailers Squeezed Out?

from the disintermediation-returns dept

Bill Gurley’s latest column takes a new look at the supply chain in the internet economy. While a few years back everyone assumed that the distributor was going to get squeezed out, Gurley suggests that it might now be the retailer that get squeezed out. There are some interesting ideas in the column, some of which I agree with, but when he starts hyping the companies he’s invested in, I feel like he’s trying to stretch the idea a little too far.
