Bands' Reactions to MP3.com

from the promotion,-what-promotion? dept

Wired is running an article that rehashes a lot of what I’ve heard about bands that use MP3.com. It’s a great concept, but it’s tough to get noticed. A lot of bands complain that MP3.com does nothing for them other than put them into a huge list. It’s like a label that is doing nothing to promote its bands. Not that MP3.com has to, but it suggests that there may be other ways to be a more successful online label.
