Internet Retailers Too Optimistic about Back-To-School Sales

from the reality-check dept

Seems that all these online retailers don’t know their customers that well. BizRate.com did a survey of retailers and consumers and found that on the whole retailers are a bit too optimistic about who will be purchasing, and what it is they’ll be buying. I think this is common among internet retailers all of the time. They don’t know very much about their customer base, and tend to think a lot of things will happen that they have no basis believing in.
