Liquid Audio Out

from the at-least-they-made-more-than-20K-in-a-quarter dept

Liquid Audio, another online music firm, went out today. They have proprietary technology that combines encoding and rights management to distrbute music online. The stock went up to $48, giving them a market cap of $840.3 million. That is pretty weak when you consider MusicMaker.com’s IPO earlier this weeek. They hit $851.4 million and only had $20K in revenues last quarter. Liquid Audio had revenues of $531K last quarter. The moral of this story is you need to have really low to zero revenues to have a successful IPO in the online music business. Let’s start a company!
