MP3: More buyouts imminent

MP3 related technologies seem to be the lastest target on portal sites’ shopping lists. The current rumor is that Yahoo and Lycos are both looking to pick up Sonique, a free MP3 player. The move follows AOL’s recent purchase of Nullsoft, makers of the popular WinAmp player.
