AOL and eMachines

from the Same-Dance,-Different-Gal dept

AOL announced that they will partner with eMachines to give customers a $400 rebate for any eMachine if a customer signs up for 3 years of Compuserve 2000 service. I like the flexibility of this deal in that you can pick a higher-end PC in their line (high-end eMachine is an oxymoron, btw) and pay the difference. This should get interesting as the other ISPs figure out they’ve got about 10 seconds to start responding ’cause the other shoe will drop (AOL will next announce the same deal for their flagship brand, AOL).
