Why Salon's IPO is Silly

In what might just be a case of sour grapes, the San Jose Merc is running an article making fun of Salon and its chances for a good IPO. They make some valid points: dreadful revenues, questionable prospects, and a very risky plan for changing their business model and becoming profitable. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t have a great IPO. They changed their name to include the dot com, so all should be dandy.
