Race to IPO — part 2

Todd writes “Drugstore.com has announced that they’ve filed to IPO. As CNET reports, this is 3 months after they opened their website, though they have been “around” for a little over a year.” Wow, that’s quick. Though I have to admit, they’ve got the publicity of a public company already. I assume this one will be quite the mega-hyped IPO as well, even though it’s pretty difficult to get any judge of their potential performance via their financial statements. Of course, who the hell looks at financial statements any more?
