Microsoft Claims They Beat Oracle Challenge

Microsoft is claiming that they beat Oracle’s challenge to do a specific query on MS SQL a wee bit closer to the speed at which Oracle 8 could do it. Oracle, of course, says Microsoft missed the boat and the contest is over already. This is almost, but not quite, as good as the back and forth press releases Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble released way back when.
