PDA Might Fade Away
A new research report is wondering if PDAs are poised to just fade away as more people are looking to wirelessly connected smartphones instead. In this case, I think it's a case of researchers defining a category too narrowly. To most consumers they don't see an advanced phone device as something different from a PDA - they see it as a PDA with more features. The PDA field is clearly moving towards converged devices anyway. All this report is really saying is that advanced phones are going to be the new PDAs.
